Gourmet farm
The Gourmet farm is one of the extra farms you gradually gain access to alongside your main farm. The whole thing revolves around food - you raise animals for feed, grow fruit in orchards and gardens, and in the end cook finished dishes from your own ingredients. You unlock the farm once you reach the required level on the main farm, or sooner if you buy enough expansions there, and access itself also costs you a set amount of money and gold. With dozens of buildings and over two hundred products, it's one of the bigger farms in the game.
The Gourmet farm is a farm for patient builders of long production chains, not a quick source of profit - it's worth it if you enjoy gradually turning ingredients from your animals and orchards into finished dishes, not if you just want to fill up more plots fast.
You reach the Gourmet farm from your own village
Clicking the farm icon next to your main farm right in the village switches you over to the Gourmet farm, exactly as it works with the other side farms. The second route leads through the menu under your experience points, where you pick the farm from a list. According to its in-game description, the Gourmet farm specializes in everything around food - homegrown ingredients and delicious dishes made from them.
Before you can get there at all, you have to reach the required level on your main farm, or secure access sooner by buying expansions on the main farm. Unlocking it then costs 50,000 Dollars and 5,900 Gold, so it's not an expense you make in passing.
You can change the farm's name at any time in the Settings menu - handy when you're running several farms at once and want to tell them apart at a glance.
Three animal buildings supply the ingredients for feed
Production is built on three animal buildings - the Goat stable, the Duck coop and the Donkey stable. They unlock one after another as your farmer level rises, and their price climbs with it.
| Building | From level | Price | Max. level |
| Goat stable | 19 | 40,000 Dollars | 10 |
| Duck coop | 26 | 70,000 Dollars | 10 |
| Donkey stable | 28 | 150,000 Dollars | 10 |
The Goat stable also has cosmetic variants - the Viking goat stable and the Northern lights goat stable unlock at the same level 19 and for the same price, so it's purely a different look for the building. With the duck coop and the donkey stable the festive variants cost about the same, but they unlock a few levels later than the basic one. If you want an even pricier alternative for your ducks, at that same level 26 you'll also find the Dandy, Deluxe or Dazzling duck coop for 280,000 Dollars.
From your animals you get manure and fertilizer and, above all, feed - every animal has a regular, premium and super version (Goat feed, Premium goat feed and Super goat feed, and the same for donkeys and ducks). What worked for me was really levelling one animal building up properly before I started building the next - I can then keep up with processing its feed instead of having it scattered all over storage.
Orchards and gardens add fruit and crops on top of the animals

Alongside the animals, orchards grow on the farm - the Almond orchard and the Peach orchard, joined in time by festive or premium variants such as the Festive almond orchard, the Festive peach orchard, Beach almonds or the Beach peach orchard. You harvest almonds and peaches from them, which then go into dishes like almond muffins.
On the plots in the Garden you grow small crops - dandelion, lamb's lettuce and barley - and from their seeds also special seeds for a higher yield. The Fertile garden does exactly the same, but you buy it for Gold instead of Dollars, just like the Beach garden. You then process the harvested ingredients in the Water mill, the Silo or the Composter, which is where the fertilizer you need for further growing comes from.
Recipes and research widen the range of dishes
The whole chain aims at finished dishes - almond muffins, apple turnovers, apple pie or fruit cake with whipped cream. There's more fruit to grow alongside them, such as limes, grapefruit, pineapples, sugar melons, gooseberries, rose hips, blackberries, mulberries, elderberries, figs, passion fruit or apricots, each with its regular, special and festive seeds.
What you can actually produce on the Gourmet farm unlocks further through research - the research tree has two separate branches for it, Gourmet products and Gourmet recipes. Without progress in them you'll be stuck with basic ingredients, so it pays to pour research points into them steadily rather than at the last minute.
Houses and support buildings hold the farm together

The rest of the farm is made up of support buildings - various types of homes for your residents (the Simple house, Fancy house, Grand house, Tropical house and more), the Market hall, the Farm laboratory for research, the Airport, the Welcome center, the Garage or decorations like the Doghouse and the Cat tree. They don't speed up food production itself, but the farm can't manage without space for residents and without storage.
