The Series Production Manager

The Series Production Manager is a tool that lets you start production in several buildings on a farm at once instead of clicking into each one separately. You pick a product category, a resource and the number of buildings, and the rest is worked out for you. It only works on the farm you're currently standing on, though, and without activating it with a coupon or a subscription you can only browse it, not start any production.

For a farmer running several stables, orchards or fields at once it's a noticeable saving in clicks and a much better overview of what's finishing where. It pays off most for anyone farming across several farms who wants production under control without opening every building one by one.

The tool starts production in several buildings at once

The point of the Series Production Manager is simple – instead of opening every stable, orchard or field on the farm separately and setting production one by one, you pick the product and the resource once and start production in several buildings at once in a couple of clicks.

You need to bear in mind that the tool only works with buildings on the farm you're currently on. If you want to run series production elsewhere as well, you have to switch to that farm first.

You can browse the product categories even without a building

In the tool's menu you switch between the product categories produced on the farms – seed, animals and orchard crops. You can look through a category's contents even when you don't have a single building for it yet, so you can get an idea in advance of everything it can produce.

The dialog also has buttons for jumping to specific farms (main, winter, island, festive, flower, gourmet, obsidian or candy farm). The Visit farm button switches you over, but with a locked farm the tool points out that you have to unlock it first before you can run series production there.

You set the number of buildings and the resource before starting production

Stable

The building selection buttons decide how many idle buildings join the next production run – as soon as you change the number, all the related product figures are recalculated straight away. Once production starts, the tool takes the chosen number of buildings out of the pool of idle ones.

It's worth remembering here that seed shares the same type of production building on every farm. So if you want to sow several kinds of seed at once, you're splitting only the limited number of buildings you have available between them.

You pick the resource for production (seed, humus or fertilizer, for example) from a drop-down list. If you're short of the amount you need, you can have most resources bought in right when you confirm production. With stables and orchards the resource is always required, while growing crops works without humus.

The product panel shows the production time and the total yield

Clicking a specific product opens a detailed panel with the production time, the amount of goods produced and the option to adjust both the number of buildings involved and the input resource. When you pick several buildings or products at once, the tool also works out the combined figures – the total production time as a range from shortest to longest, the total growing time, the total harvest yield and the total goods yield including any additional yield.

The tool also warns you when production can't be started – for instance that you're missing resources that can't be bought in, that every building in the category is busy, or that you haven't built a single matching building on the farm yet.

Activation requires a coupon or a permanent subscription

Before you can produce anything at all in the Series Production Manager, you have to activate it with one of four kinds of coupon – each one offers a different duration and is obtained in a different way. Anyone who wants the tool permanently can buy the matching subscription in the in-game shop.

Even without an active coupon or subscription you can open the tool and look through the products and buildings on offer, you just can't start the production itself.

Buildings and products mentioned in the text

Tip from a veteran player Before you confirm seed production, work out in advance how many kinds you want to sow at once – all seed on a farm runs through the same type of building, so the kinds you pick will be sharing the same limited number of idle buildings.
Most common mistake The most common mistake is trying to use the Series Production Manager to set production on a farm other than the one you're standing on – the tool only works with buildings on your current farm, and for the others it just sends you over with the Visit farm button.

FAQ

How do I activate the Series Production Manager
You need one of four kinds of coupon with different durations, or you can buy a permanent subscription in the in-game shop. You can look through the products and buildings in the tool without activating it, but you can't start any production that way.
Why can't I produce on another farm with the tool
The Series Production Manager only works with buildings on the farm you're currently on. For another farm it offers you the Visit farm button, and if that farm is locked you have to unlock it first.
Do I always need humus for growing crops
No, growing crops works without humus. With stables and orchards, though, the input resource is always required.
What if I'm short of resources for production
The tool offers to buy in most of the missing resources right when you confirm production. If it tells you the missing resources can't be bought, you have to get hold of them some other way.
