Player level and experience points
Your player level is the gauge that tells you how far you've got with your farm in Goodgame Big Farm. It grows thanks to experience points, which you collect from practically every ordinary activity on the farm. The higher your level, the more game content opens up for you, so keeping an eye on XP pays off from your very first login.
Experience points aren't a statistic for their own sake but the key to unlocking further content, so it pays to collect them steadily instead of chasing them in bursts at the last minute. If you complete your tasks and don't neglect the daily login, the level up arrives on its own as a by-product of ordinary play.
Why keep an eye on your player level at all
Your player level is a quick overview of how you're doing on the farm – the higher the number, the more you've managed in the game. But it isn't just a cosmetic gauge, because to move up to the next level you need experience points, and it's precisely by gathering enough XP that new game content unlocks.
The game also shows you directly how many experience points you're still missing for the next level, so there's nothing to work out by hand – just watch the indicator in the player overview.
Where experience points come from
You don't earn XP in one particular way; you gather it steadily from several sources that combine naturally while you play.
- Completed tasks and missions
- Processing goods
- The daily login bonus
- Using premium feed, fertilizer or humus
- Completed buildings
- Crops grown on the farm
I see a clear pattern in it – the game rewards you for what you do on the farm anyway. So you don't have to do anything extra, just keep your eyes open for where you can squeeze out a little more.
How to collect XP without having to think about it
From my own experience, XP piles up fastest when I don't forget to finish the tasks and missions I've already started – they're ready-made packages of experience that otherwise just sit idle in the task log. The daily login bonus works much the same way, you simply collect it every day and it costs you nothing.
The second source is the quality of your goods. Using premium feed, fertilizer or humus instead of the ordinary variant brings experience points on top, so it pays to invest in the better item where it matters.
