For the price and footprint it is one of the most efficient raw material buildings on the Gourmet farm, and it makes sense to have it built practically from the start. Upgrade it steadily as your player level rises, mainly for the lamb's lettuce and barley.

The Deluxe garden is an enlarged variant of the regular garden on the Gourmet farm. On its 14x9 plot you grow dandelions, lamb's lettuce and barley, plus materials such as bamboo sticks or spruce wood. It is not a separate building from the Shop but a much bigger and more productive version of the classic little field, so I rank it among the main producers of raw materials for the Gourmet farm. It suits anyone who wants less clicking and more harvest per plot on the Gourmet farm, because you harvest the same crops in larger amounts. On its own it does not earn extra money, but it feeds the downstream production, such as the mill and other processing buildings.

When to build it

The first level is available from player level 0 and costs 150 000 Dollars, so go ahead and build it as soon as you have the Gourmet farm and a free 14x9 plot. The number of workers required climbs quite steeply from 12 at higher levels, so check your happiness and housing capacity first so they do not get out of hand. On the Gourmet farm one or two such gardens are usually enough, because they cover three raw materials at once.

Is it worth upgrading

Upgrading is definitely worth it, because the big jump in yield shows mainly with lamb's lettuce, from 138 to 460 units, and with barley, from 85 to 253 units, for the same price and harvest time. With dandelions the increase is milder, and the special seed at the top level gives roughly 80 % more harvest per unit of seed than at level one. The price and build time rise steeply though. At level nine it is over 6 million Dollars and almost two days, so take the higher levels step by step as your player level grows.
