The market hall is one of the most useful buildings in the game, because it can turn practically anything you produce on your farms into money, and it needs no upgrading or upkeep at all.

Customers come to the market hall with contracts, you'll find it on the Main farm, the Gourmet farm and the Flower farm, and you don't buy it in the shop like a normal building, you get it as you progress through the game. A contract asks you to deliver up to six different products, and for a completed order the customer pays you in dollars, experience, horseshoes or other materials depending on what they're after. Every now and then a vendor also shows up in front of the market hall with a special offer of goods, tokens or fertilizer. It's a building for anyone who wants to turn their farm surpluses into something useful instead of letting them sit in the warehouse.

When to build it

Since you don't buy the market hall but unlock it through progress, there's no question of when to build it, as soon as it becomes available it's worth using straight away. The contracts adapt to what you can already produce on your unlocked farms, so even a beginner will find orders they can fill.

Is it worth upgrading

The market hall has no levels, so you don't upgrade it in the usual sense. What it gives you grows as you unlock more farms and raise your production, the contracts mirror your production capabilities, so the more developed your farms are, the more valuable and profitable the orders the market hall offers you.

Tip from a veteran player You don't have to fill an order all at once, feel free to send the delivery in parts as soon as you've finished just one of the requested products, because hitting the deliver button sends off a partially completed order too.
Most common mistake The most common mistake is waiting until you have every single material for the whole contract ready at once, and missing the vendor who shows up in the meantime with a special, time-limited offer.
