What it's for

Can be used on an orchard to start production.

I make Fertilizer in the Silo on the Main farm and Gourmet farm from Manure and it's the key ingredient for the orchards. The base price of 2 500 Dollars reflects that it's an intermediate product, not goods for sale. I use it to start production on any orchard, apple, cherry, almond and peach trees, including the cooperative orchards. In the farm economy it links animal production with fruit growing.

How to get it

The Silo offers two recipe levels, with the faster one I use 210 to 183 Manure depending on the level and get 10 Fertilizer in 56 to 15 minutes, with the slower variant it's 178 to 155 Manure over 2 hours 48 minutes to 45 minutes for the same 10 units. It always pays to have the Silo upgraded to the highest level possible, it uses less Manure and production finishes faster. Fertilizer can't be bought, the only way is to have enough Manure from your animals.

What to do with it

I send Fertilizer to the Apple, Cherry, Almond and Peach orchards and their cooperative versions, where it starts fruit production and at the same time the Leaves by-product. Beyond that it's made into Liquid fertilizer in the Mixing plant and Nutritious fertilizer in the Nursery.

Tip from a veteran player Upgrade the Silo to a higher level before you start setting up several orchards at once, you'll save a lot of Manure that otherwise runs out quickly.

Most common mistake The most common mistake is leaving an orchard without Fertilizer right when the harvest ripens, because then you wait needlessly for the Silo to make more, instead of having at least a small stock ready in advance.
