Goat stable – Goodgame Big FarmGoat stable – Level 1

Goat stable

Animal buildings Gourmet farm

The goat stable is a reliable source of milk that's worth getting going sooner rather than later, because you'll need the mill for goat feed elsewhere too. I'd leave the tenth level for diamonds until the farm's economy is otherwise dialed in.

What it's for

The goat stable produces milk and produces dung for the silo as a by-product. The feed for it can be made from dandelions in the water mill.

Produces

The goat stable is an animal building on the Gourmet farm that produces milk for you and manure for the silo as a by-product. You grind the goat feed yourself in the water mill from dandelions, so this building hooks you straight into another production chain. You buy it in the shop from player level 19 and you need free workers for it, with their number rising as it levels up. It's worth it for anyone who wants a steady supply of milk and manure on the Gourmet farm without having to deal with exotic resources.

When to build it

You can build the goat stable right at player level 19, as soon as you have the water mill up and running for feed. I'd build it at the moment I need a smooth flow of milk for recipes higher up the chain - one is enough to start with, but if you have the space on the farm and enough workers, feel free to put up a second or a third so production isn't sitting idle between collections.

Is it worth upgrading

Upgrading is worth it here, because the same recipe gives almost two and a half times more milk and manure at max level than at level one - goat feed, for instance, makes 78 milk out of 30, in the same 52 minutes. The price for that climbs gradually from 40 thousand dollars up to level ten, which you no longer pay for in dollars but with 10,000 diamonds, and that changes the whole calculation. At the same time the number of workers needed grows with the level from 5 to 18, so plan the upgrade for when you have people to spare.

Tip from a veteran player Seaweed feed is turned into milk and manure in the goat stable with no waiting at all, and on top of that it gives a flat bonus of 1200 experience points - handy whenever you need to rack up XP quickly or finish a quest for a number of productions without tying the building up for an hour.
Most common mistake I see players upgrade the goat stable to a higher level without having the extra free workers the new level demands - the building then runs at limited output or waits until workers free up. Before you reach for an upgrade, check your free worker capacity and the happiness on the farm.
