How to get your Flower farm going
The Flower farm is one of the side farms in Goodgame Big Farm, and you'll come across it once your main farm is properly up and running. It's all about flowers and perfumes, and it gives you your own shop where you sell everything you grow in the meadows and orchards. In this guide I'll show you what order to build the meadows, orchards, apiary, mixing plant and distillery in, so that your bouquet and perfume production keeps flowing.
When it pays off to open the Flower farm
Before you get to the Flower farm, you have to reach the required level on your main farm, or speed the unlock up another way. According to the in-game help, you unlock it once you reach the required level, or earlier if you buy 25 expansions on the Gourmet farm.
If you want the Flower farm as quickly as possible and don't want to wait for level progress, reckon with total costs of around 120,000 Dollars and 8,400 Gold for the expansions that lead to opening it. Once you have it, you'll find it in your village next to the other farms, and you switch between them by clicking the farm icon or through the menu under your experience points.
Rename your new farm in the Settings menu straight away so you always know which farm you're working on, because the Flower farm runs as a separate operation with its own production and its own shop.
Meadows give you the basic ingredients for perfumes
Meadows are the foundation of the whole production chain. You build a Meadow from level 38 for 100,000 Dollars and in time upgrade it all the way to level 9. Alongside it, get yourself a Fertile meadow (from the same level 38, priced at 550 Gold, max. level 10) and a Friendship meadow, which you build using friendship cents earned from your neighbors.
On the meadows you grow flowers, which are then used to make practically everything else on this farm, from bouquets through essences to perfumes. The more meadows you have running, the less you'll wait for ingredients for the distillery and the mixing plant, so it's worth building and upgrading them first, as soon as you open the farm.
Orchards give you olives, citrus fruit and nectar for the bees
Once your meadows are up and running, it's the orchards' turn. You build the Olive grove from level 50 for 150,000 Dollars and the Citrus orchard only from level 61 for 520,000 Dollars, and both buildings cap at level 9.
Orchards don't just give you olives and citrus fruit. According to the in-game help, orchards on the Flower farm also produce nectar, which the bees feed on, so without them you won't get to honey and wax at all. That's why it pays to build the orchards before you start worrying about the apiary, so it has something to process right away.
The apiary turns nectar into honey and wax
You open up the Apiary from level 56 for 240,000 Dollars, up to level 9 max. It works simply - nectar from the orchards goes in, and honey and wax come out.
Besides the classic Apiary you'll also come across variants like the Maritime apiary (from level 50, 300,000 Dollars) or the Sweet apiary (from level 56, 240,000 Dollars); they work on the same principle, they just look different and you build them on different farms. The honey and wax then travel on to the distillery, where they're turned into finished products like honey cream or soap.
The mixing plant and distillery take your ingredients a step further
The Mixing plant (from level 50, priced at 150,000 Dollars, max. level 7) turns ordinary fertilizer into liquid fertilizer. You then need that liquid fertilizer directly in the Citrus orchard and the Olive grove, so without the mixing plant your orchards will slow down even once you've got them built.
The Distillery (from level 44, 150,000 Dollars, max. level 10) is the heart of production on this farm - it takes ingredients like your flowers and turns them into completely new products. This is where lavender and jasmine essences, sweet scented oil, honey cream, soap and the perfumes and bouquets themselves are made. Build the distillery as soon as you reach it, because without it your goods will just sit around in the meadows and the apiary.
Sell your bouquets and perfumes in your own shop
You don't sell the finished products, the wildflower bouquet, the summer bouquet, the romantic bouquet and the Flower perfume, the way you sell ordinary crops at the market. The Flower farm gives you your own shop stocked directly with the products from its meadows, so you get your own source of income there, independent of the market hall at the other farms.
It works out best when you plan your production as a chain - the meadows supply flowers, the orchards olives, citrus fruit and nectar, the apiary honey and wax, the mixing plant liquid fertilizer for the orchards, and the distillery turns all of it into finished bouquets and perfumes. If you neglect one of the buildings in the chain or leave it unupgraded, the rest of the farm will be waiting on it and your production will slow down.
