The duck coop is an animal pen on the gourmet farm where you turn feed into eggs, with manure for the silo as a by-product. You prepare the duck feed from sea plankton in the water mill, so the coop is tied to that upstream production. It's available from player level 26 and costs 70000 dollars, which puts it among the mid-priced pens. It suits players who already have the gourmet farm up and running and need a steady source of eggs and manure.

When to build it

Once you reach level 26 and have feed production sorted in the water mill, it's worth building the coop straight away - construction takes only 4 hours 10 minutes, so you'll have it working in no time. The following levels then come at player levels 32, 44, 54 and up, so you upgrade the coop naturally as you progress through the farm.

Is it worth upgrading

Upgrading makes sense, because egg and manure output grow with the level. At the tenth and highest level you also pay 10000 diamonds instead of dollars, so that last jump is aimed more at players willing to invest premium currency. Up to the ninth level you upgrade purely for dollars and XP, though, so there I wouldn't hesitate.

Tip from a veteran player Keep an eye on how much feed you have prepared in the water mill in advance, so the duck coop doesn't run empty waiting on resources.

Most common mistake Players often build the coop before they have a smooth supply of duck feed from the water mill, and then the pen sits idle for lack of resources.
