What it's for

Starts production in duck coops and is made from lamb's lettuce in the water mill.

Duck feed is the basic tier of feed for duck coops on the Gourmet farm. It's made in the Water mill from Lamb's lettuce and it starts production of Eggs and Manure in the duck coop. It also serves as an input ingredient for the Farm laboratory, where it's turned into the higher-quality Premium duck feed. You can't buy it in the shop, so without your own Lamb's lettuce production and a working mill you won't get by without it.

How to get it

I make it in the Water mill or the Efficient water mill, and the mill level makes a huge difference here - at level 1 you need 124 Lamb's lettuce and wait 2 hours 40 minutes for 10 pieces, but at level 9 you only need 93 Lamb's lettuce and it's done in 27 minutes. That's why it pays to push the mill to a higher level as early as possible, because the ingredient cost drops and the production speed rises at the same time.

What to do with it

The basic use is to load it into a duck coop (including the Viking, Northern lights, Dandy, Deluxe, Dazzling or Autumnal one) and get Eggs and Manure. The second route is to send it to the Farm laboratory, where it's made into Premium duck feed.

Tip from a veteran player Before you mass-produce feed, invest in upgrading the Water mill - you'll save dozens of Lamb's lettuce and hours of waiting on the same 10 pieces.

Most common mistake An early mistake is producing for a long time at a low mill level and not noticing how much the time shrinks and the Lamb's lettuce cost drops with each level - the result is a needlessly slow cycle on your stables.
