The Deluxe duck coop is another trophy version of the duck coop on the gourmet farm, like the other variants four times the size of a regular one, and it takes up 16x12 squares. This one is also a memento of a gold league placement in the Cooperative Competition and you won't find it in the shop. At level one, 10 units of duck feed give 435 eggs and 158 manure in 2 hours, a bit more than the Dandy duck coop from the same input. Like the other variants it needs 20 workers at level one and opens up at player level 26.

When to build it

As with the other trophy coops, you don't buy it, you build it as soon as you get it as a reward from the cooperative competition. It pays to put it up straight away, because even at level one it gives noticeably more eggs than the classic duck coop and saves you tending several smaller coops. Before you get it running at full tilt, check that you have enough happy farm residents for those 20 workers.

Is it worth upgrading

Upgrading makes sense up to roughly level 8, where output grows from 435 all the way to 855 eggs per batch and the prices are still paid in dollars. Level nine already demands player level 179 and 14 days of building, level ten 27 days and 18 hours plus 15,000 diamonds – an investment only for players who plan to stick with the game for a really long time.

Tip from a veteran player Keep an eye out for when you have seaweed feed to hand – with this coop you process it instantly with no waiting and get bonus XP on top.

Most common mistake Plenty of players only compare upgrade prices and overlook the fact that between levels 8 and 9 the required player level jumps from 85 to 179 – without a sufficiently developed account you won't reach the higher levels anyway.
