The autumnal duck coop is a dependable source of eggs for the gourmet farm with output that clearly climbs with each level, and its only real weakness is that long eight-hour cycle. As a limited building I would definitely never tear it down, nor would I underestimate the upgrades.

The autumnal coop has a very high production output. If you demolish this building, you won't be able to build it again.

The autumnal duck coop sits on the gourmet farm and, like both of the previous autumn animal buildings, it is a limited building you currently cannot buy and which has no listed source. It produces eggs plus manure for the silo as a by-product, and the duck feed can be made from lamb's lettuce in the water mill. It covers 8x6 and, unlike the two previous autumn buildings, it is paid for in Dollars rather than Gold. Level 1 only unlocks at player level 26, so it is a building for an established gourmet farm rather than for the very start of the game.

When to build it

As soon as you reach player level 26 on the gourmet farm and have this building available, put it down straight away - level 1 costs 70000 Dollars and takes over 4 hours to build, which is no huge obstacle at this stage of the game. Since it is a limited, unbuyable building, worrying about how many to have makes no sense, what matters more is not leaving it sitting unbuilt.

Is it worth upgrading

It pays to judge the upgrades by output - at level 1, ten duck feed gives you 300 eggs and 109 manure in 8 hours, while at level 10, the maximum, the same input over the same time gives you 670 eggs and 173 manure, so more than double the eggs. Level 10 needs 10000 diamonds, over 16 days of construction and player level 179, so it is clearly a long-term goal, not something you finish right after unlocking the building.

Tip from a veteran player The production cycle here runs a full 8 hours, so it is worth filling the coop up in the evening before bed or before you head out, so the building is not sitting idle while you are offline.

Most common mistake The most common mistake is leaving the coop standing empty for ages after a batch finishes - with an eight-hour cycle the lost time really adds up if you do not check in on the farm at least once in that window.
