The Viking duck coop is an upgraded version of the regular duck coop on the gourmet farm, it holds more ducks and gives your farm a Viking look on top of that. It produces eggs as its main product and manure for the silo as a by-product, exactly like the ordinary duck coop. You mix the feed in the windmill, or you can use special feed from events or seaweed feed for instant production. It's a building for players who want a steady supply of eggs on the gourmet farm without having to line up several smaller coops.

When to build it

This building is built for dollars and unlocks at player level 29 along with the gourmet farm, with level one costing 70 thousand dollars and a little over four hours of building. It's worth putting up as soon as it's available, because it holds more products and more workers than a regular duck coop at the same level. One is enough until you have the workers and the feed to keep it fully busy - for any further duck coops, stick to the regular ones.

Is it worth upgrading

Upgrading is definitely worth it, because production grows faster than feed consumption – at level one 10 units of duck feed give you 360 eggs, at level ten the same 10 units pull out 800 eggs in the same 8 hours. The price climbs steadily from 70 thousand dollars up to 11 million at level nine, but level ten breaks the pattern – it costs 15 thousand diamonds and takes over 16 days to build, so it's more of a prestige goal than a necessity. I'd go to level nine without hesitating and leave level ten for a time when you have diamonds to spare.

Tip from a veteran player Aim for seaweed feed, since it and its upgraded variants are processed instantly and give bonus XP as well, which makes them great to use right before you need a quick nudge toward the next player level.

Most common mistake Players often demolish this building to free up space on the farm without realizing that, according to its description, it can never be rebuilt – once torn down, it's gone for good.
