What it's for

This very powerful animal feed is made on the obsidian farm and can be used on in the main and gourmet farm stables.

Obsidian feed XL is the middle, very potent version of the feed from the obsidian farm, one step above the basic feed and one step below the XXL. It is made in the Botanical workshop, this time from pig feed instead of chicken feed, together with obsidian leaves and a resource from the obsidian farm. In the animal buildings on both the Main farm and the Gourmet farm it works as a more powerful replacement for the basic version.

How to get it

A batch of 10 in the Botanical workshop costs you 20 units of the obsidian farm resource, 10 pig feed and 44 obsidian leaves, and it is done in an hour and a half no matter what level your workshop is. You cannot buy it in the shop, even though it has a base value of 750 Gold listed, so the only way to get the feed is to make it yourself.

What to do with it

Use it in the chicken coop, pigsty, cowshed, goat stable, duck coop or donkey stable, where together with manure it produces eggs, pigs, milk or donkeys.

Tip from a veteran player Before you start making the XL feed, have a stock of pig feed ready, because that is the bottleneck here, not the obsidian leaves.

Most common mistake It is easy to plan your production around the basic feed recipe and overlook that the XL version needs a different input, namely pig feed instead of chicken feed.
