What it's for

The pigsty produces pigs and, as a by-product, manure for the silo, much like the chicken coop or the cowshed. Pig feed is made at the mill from cabbage or turnips, so you'll need to set aside suitable fields for it. The building takes up 7x6, making it bigger than the chicken coop, and it stands on the Main farm. It suits players who want to diversify their animals and not rely on a single source of manure.

When to build it

The first level of the pigsty is available from level 7, so you'll build it shortly after the chicken coop. It makes sense to build it once you have cabbage or turnips growing in your fields and the mill can produce pig feed. It's worth having alongside your other animals, because together they keep the silo supplied with manure.

Is it worth upgrading

Upgrading lifts pig output with basic feed from 130 to 235 units at level ten and manure from 33 to 80 units, so the difference between the first and last level is noticeable. Level ten can only be bought for 10,000 diamonds and also requires player level 129, so it's more of a long-term goal than a priority. Until then it's enough to gradually pull the pigsty up to level nine for dollars.

Tip from a veteran player Pig swill is processed in just 5 minutes, so it's handy when you need a quick cycle and don't happen to have seaweed feed ready.

Most common mistake An early mistake is building the pigsty before you have a field of cabbage or turnips for the mill, so it then sits there with no feed.
