What it's for

This powerful animal feed is made on the obsidian farm and can be used on in the main and gourmet farm stables.

Obsidian feed is the entry level of the upgraded feed for the animals from the obsidian farm. It's made in the Botanical workshop from chicken feed, obsidian leaves and the obsidian farm resource. You use it in the animal buildings on the main farm and the gourmet farm, so in the chicken coop, pigsty or cowshed for example. It's a replacement for ordinary feed wherever you want to get more out of your animals.

How to get it

One batch in the Botanical workshop gives you 10 units in an hour and a half and costs 15 units of the obsidian farm resource, 10 units of chicken feed and 32 obsidian leaves, and the recipe doesn't change with the workshop level. The feed isn't sold in the shop, even though it has a listed base value of 500 Gold, so the only way to get it is to make it yourself.

What to do with it

Pour it into the chicken coop, pigsty, cowshed, goat stable, duck coop or donkey stable, where together with manure it produces eggs, pigs, milk or donkeys depending on the type of animal building.

Tip from a veteran player Make the feed in batches of 10 units so that none of it sits unused in storage, because the recipe also eats chicken feed, which you need elsewhere too.

Most common mistake Players often forget that the input is chicken feed, not grain directly, and then come up short in the regular chicken keeping cycle.
