The Autumnal fertile field is a special variant of the classic field - you can't buy it in the shop the usual way, but you can sow it with both special seeds from other buildings, such as the nursery, and completely ordinary seeds. On a 6x4 plot you can process a wide range of crops at once, from golden flowers through wheat and cabbage to the rarer rice or magic beans. It sits at the start of the farm's economic cycle just like ordinary fields, but thanks to its high yield it mainly pays off for players who have the windmill, silo and other downstream buildings linked up. It suits anyone who wants to squeeze more raw materials out of a limited space at once.

When to build it

You can't set this building up with a regular purchase in the shop, so when you build it comes down to when you get access to it at all. Once you have it available, it pays to build it right away at level one - the entry price of 18,000 gold and 15 minutes of construction are low for such a broad range of production. One is enough, because the field itself can process several kinds of seeds at once, so you don't need a duplicate.

Is it worth upgrading

Upgrading makes sense if you have workers to spare - between level one and level ten their requirement climbs from 10 to 31, which noticeably affects the farm's happiness. The reward is a hefty jump in yield, for instance wheat from special seeds leaps from 14 to 50 units and cabbage from 240 to 520 units for the same production time. You only unlock the top levels around player level 119, though, so it's more of a goal for the later stages of the game than something you'll finish right at the start.
