What it's for

Special cabbage seeds are grown in the nursery and have a growth rate and yield amount that is different from the normal seed.

Special cabbage seeds are the pricier variant of special seed for the Main farm with a base price of 8000 dollars, and they can't be bought in the shop. They're made in the Nursery or in the Farm laboratory, though the laboratory recipe unlocks later than the corn one. You plant them on fields, where cabbage grows from them.

How to get it

The Farm laboratory is cheaper and faster, but you only unlock the recipe there at level 2 - for 5 Ordinary catalysts and 1 cabbage you get 1 seed immediately. Until you get the laboratory to that level, you have to fall back on the Nursery, where the recipe also gives just 1 seed, at the lowest building level consumes 10 cabbage plus two other materials and takes 2.5 hours, and at the highest level (8) drops to 3 cabbage and 45 minutes. Once your laboratory is at level 2, the Nursery stops making sense.

What to do with it

You plant the seeds on the Field and its variants - Fertile, Wintry fertile, Rural fertile, Autumnal fertile, Glorious, Deluxe and Spectacular field - where cabbage grows from them.

Tip from a veteran player If you're only just building the laboratory, hold off on planting cabbage until you reach level 2 - you'll save both time and materials in the Nursery.

Most common mistake An early mistake is burning materials in the Nursery even after the laboratory recipe is unlocked - that one doesn't get any cheaper with laboratory level, but it still remains the fastest route.
