What it's for

Rapaseed grows in fields.

Rapeseed is a basic primary crop that you harvest straight from the fields on the main farm. It grows on a regular field, a fertile field, a wintry fertile field and a rural fertile field, so you can grow it pretty much all the time. It is one of the first goods you start selling on the market and using to fill customer contracts. In the farm economy it works as an entry-level resource that earns you dollars right from the start of the game.

How to get it

You can't buy rapeseed in the shop, the only way to get it is to sow it on a field. One batch always needs just one rapeseed seed regardless of the field's level, but the higher the level of your field, the more rapeseed the same batch yields in the same 35 minutes, at level 1 you get 22 pieces and at level ten already 40. So it pays to upgrade the field to the maximum first and only then sow, because the seed price doesn't change with the level, only the yield goes up.

What to do with it

Send harvested rapeseed mainly to be sold for dollars or into customer contracts on the market, which generates demand on its own based on what you produce.

Tip from a veteran player Plant several fields of the same type at once so you don't get idle gaps between harvests of the 35-minute cycles.
