What it's for

Wildflowers grow in fields.

Wildflowers are the basic flower you harvest from the field, fertile field, wintry fertile field and rural fertile field on the main farm. They are among the cheapest goods in the game and at the same time among those with the widest range of uses, you will find them in recipes for feed, bouquets, ropes and even your own seeds. They act as the link between crop production and the livestock and crafting side of the farm economy. Because they are cheap and used everywhere, you will be planting them over and over throughout the whole game.

How to get it

The cheapest option is the basic recipe with no seed input at all, the field yields wildflowers even without any goods, 15 pieces in 2 minutes on a level 1 field and a bit more at higher levels. If you have Special wildflower seeds or Obsidian seeds available, it pays to put them into the field, one batch then yields hundreds to thousands of pieces at once, although with a longer growing time (30 minutes and 2.5 hours respectively). In the shop, wildflowers cost 10 Dollars apiece, but for an item the field grows practically for free, buying them is not worth it.

What to do with it

You send wildflowers mainly to the windmill, where they become pellet feed and silage for sheep, and to the shop to make bouquets and gift baskets. In the nursery and the farm laboratory they are turned into Special wildflower seeds, which in turn boost your own field output, and in the wood and textile factory you process them into ropes.

Tip from a veteran playerIf you can choose which seeds to use, go for the strongest variant you have, Obsidian seeds XXL give the most pieces per minute with the same growing time as the weaker variants.
Most common mistakeThe most common mistake is buying extra wildflowers in the shop when the field produces them for free, the same money is better invested in speeding up or expanding your fields.
