What it's for

Liquid fertilizer helps you grow olives, plus you will receive honeydew for the apiary as well. Liquid fertilizer is made in the mixing plant using fertilizer.

The olive grove is one of the orchards on the Flower farm, where liquid fertilizer is used to grow olives and nectar for the apiary drops as a bonus. It only opens up at a high player level (from 50) and it takes up a decent 10x10 tiles. The mixing plant supplies its resources, so without one you won't get the grove going at full speed. It suits players who want to make olive oil in the distillery or who need nectar for keeping bees.

When to build it

The grove is worth building as soon as you reach the level for it (from 50) and have a mixing plant running for liquid fertilizer, otherwise it will just stand there empty. Since you also need olives in the distillery for olive oil, it pays to get the grove running as soon as possible; one is enough for normal consumption, I only add a second one when I'm chronically running out of olives.

Is it worth upgrading

Upgrading makes sense, both olive and nectar output grow fairly steadily with every level (from 65 olives at level 1 up to 105 at max level with ordinary liquid fertilizer), while the resource use stays at 10 the whole time. It pays most to push it to a level where the worker count only rises slightly but the output jumps, for example between levels 3 and 5.

Tip from a veteran player If you need olives fast and don't mind spending the rarer seaweed liquid fertilizer, you get them instantly plus a decent experience bonus, which comes in handy when you're chasing player levels.

Most common mistake The most common mistake is building or upgrading the grove before you have enough liquid fertilizer from the mixing plant, because the building then stands empty most of the time and just takes up space.
