What it's for

Honey is produced in the apiary. It can be made into other items in the shop.

Honey is a basic ingredient you get in the Apiary, the Sweet apiary or the Maritime apiary on both the Main farm and the Flower farm. It comes from processing nectar, and the type of nectar you use affects both the yield and the bonus experience. It's one of the most in-demand ingredients for further processing - you'll find it in recipes in the Shop, the Bakery stand, the Dairy and the Bakery. You can also buy it straight from the shop at a base price of 850 Dollars.

How to get it

In the Apiary you have three ingredients to choose from - Nectar, Premium nectar and Super nectar. At level four, Super nectar gives 75 honey and 500 XP, while Premium nectar and plain Nectar both give 62, except that the 300 XP bonus only comes with the Premium one. The Sweet and Maritime apiary also give a slightly higher yield than the classic Apiary at the same level, 83 units from Super nectar. Buying in the shop for 850 Dollars is handy when you badly need honey right away and don't want to wait 2.5 hours for a batch from the apiary.

What to do with it

You send Honey to the Shop for Truffle honey and Honey cream, to the Bakery stand for Original gingerbread hearts, to the Dairy for Frozen yogurt and Pancakes, and to the Bakery for Cherry cookies.

Tip from a veteran player Before you drop nectar into the apiary, reach for Premium nectar instead of plain Nectar - you get the same amount of honey, plus an XP bonus on top.

Most common mistake Feeding the apiary plain Nectar is a waste when Premium nectar gives the same yield with an XP bonus on top.
