The Meadow is the backbone of material production on the Flower farm and without it the Shop has nothing to feed on. I'd build it right after it unlocks and keep lavender as a priority because of what it feeds into.

What it's for

There are various kinds of plants and flowers growing in this meadow that you will need for recipes later on.

Produces

The Meadow is the basic production plot on the Flower farm - it grows plants and flowers like aloe vera, vanilla, jasmine and lavender, which you then need for recipes in the Shop. You buy it in the shop from player level 38 and it immediately asks for a serious crew of workers, at least 25. It's a building for anyone who wants their own source of materials for perfumes and other goods instead of buying them in for dollars.

When to build it

I'd build the Meadow the moment my level allows it, because without it you have no materials for the Shop on the Flower farm and you have to buy them in at a steep price. Just count on needing 25 free workers at level 1 already and up to 50 at higher levels, so line up enough housing first. One is enough to get going, a second comes in handy once you're short of a specific material, lavender for the Shop for instance.

Is it worth upgrading

Upgrading the Meadow pays off, because the dollar price of a recipe doesn't change with the level but the amount of the crop does - for the same 3000 dollars you get 210 aloe vera at the top level instead of 120. Lavender grows the same way, from 30 to 65 units for the same 2500 dollars and the same 5 hours. The cost of the upgrade itself climbs sharply, though, from 100 thousand up to 20 million dollars, and level 9 doesn't unlock until player level 149, so it's more of a long haul.

Tip from a veteran player Besides the classic dollar recipes, the Meadow also has quick recipes for village dollars, bamboo sticks or spruce wood for example - those are done in just 5 minutes. They're handy when you have village dollars saved up and want to harvest something quickly between the longer cycles.

Most common mistake I see players who only ever put long aloe vera or vanilla recipes on the Meadow and never try the quick village dollar recipes - that way they miss out on harvesting in the short windows between logins. The second common mistake is building the Meadow without a decent reserve of workers, so the recipe simply can't be started.
