What it's for

You can get dung from your animals. You can then use the dung in the silo to make winter fertilizer for orchards and sheep pastures.

You get manure as a by-product of animal husbandry in the Penguin pond and the Seal pond on the Viking farm, the Northern lights farm and the Festive farm, available from level 30. It is a secondary material with no market price, whose only purpose is to move you further along the production chain - in the Silo it is turned into winter fertilizer for orchards and pastures.

How to get it

At the same building level, both ponds give the same hourly manure yield, they differ only in cycle length. The Penguin pond produces 300 manure per hour (at the first level), the Seal pond 2400, but only after 8 hours, so over a day the output comes out the same. Feed and Premium feed give the same amount of manure in the same time, the premium version just adds bonus XP on top, so it's worth using whenever you have it on hand.

What to do with it

Manure belongs exclusively in the Silo, where it is turned into Winter fertilizer for orchards and sheep pastures.

Tip from a veteran player I try to keep mainly the Penguin pond running - thanks to the hourly cycle I manage to run it several times a day, while I let the seals run overnight for one big batch.

Most common mistake It easily happens that you leave the ponds sitting empty during the day - then you run out of manure for fertilizer production and the whole downstream production gets stuck.
