What it's for

Can be used on an apiary to start production.

Premium nectar is a refined Secondary resource that I work with on the Flower farm. It isn't gathered, it's produced in the Farm laboratory from plain nectar. I use it mainly as an input for apiaries, where it gets turned into honey and wax. On top of that, the laboratory can process it even further into super nectar, so it works as an intermediate step in the production chain.

How to get it

You can't buy it in the shop, so the only way is producing it in the Farm laboratory from level 17. The recipe is the same at every level. For one batch of 10 I need 6 Rare catalysts and 10 nectar, and it's done in a single minute. Because production is so fast, what holds me back is a shortage of Rare catalysts rather than time in the laboratory, so I only start batches once I have both the catalyst and the nectar stocked up.

What to do with it

I send premium nectar mainly to apiaries, whether the regular, sweet, maritime or efficient one, where it gets turned into honey and wax. The second use is processing it further in the Farm laboratory into super nectar for more demanding recipes.

Tip from a veteran player Run several batches back to back, because a one-minute production only pays off if you're actually sitting at the laboratory and queuing the next round right away, otherwise the machine sits idle most of the time.

Most common mistake The most common mistake is stocking up on Rare catalysts and nectar and then letting them sit, because the player forgets that the laboratory doesn't produce on its own and every batch has to be started again.
