Cotton is a typical garden crop that you will mainly find on the Flower farm, and at the same time one of the few resources in this batch that you can also grow as a border planting on the meadows of the Cooperative village. Unlike the woods and latex milk in this batch, it can also be bought directly in the Shop, so you have the choice of growing it or buying it. It is the input resource for textile production as well as for its own seeds, so you will come across it in almost every stage of textile processing. Its base price of 450 dollars makes it a relatively valuable commodity even for direct sale.

How to get it

In the Garden or Fertile garden you grow cotton for 200 dollars for 20 to 32 pieces in 1 hour 30 minutes, or by using special cotton seeds (1 piece) for a considerably higher 150 to 245 pieces in 3 hours 30 minutes. As a border plant on the Meadow you grow it for 80000 village dollars for 16 to 23 pieces in 5 minutes. Buying in the Shop at the base price of 450 dollars per piece only pays off for me when quickly topping up a small amount - for regular needs, growing it yourself in the garden comes out much cheaper.

What to do with it

In the Nursery or Farm laboratory you make special cotton seeds from cotton, which you then use to boost the yield of further cotton in the garden. In the Spinning factory or Efficient spinning factory it turns into fine cotton, and in the Wood and textile factory into fabric or slag wool.

Tip from a veteran player Invest part of the harvested cotton into producing special cotton seeds in the Nursery or Farm laboratory - it comes back to you in a much higher yield of 150 to 245 pieces instead of the usual 20 to 32 pieces per batch.

Most common mistake An early mistake is buying cotton in the Shop as the main source instead of growing it - at a base price of 450 dollars per piece, buying is far more expensive than your own production in the garden for 200 dollars per dozens of pieces.
