The Beach garden is a large 9x7 cultivated plot on the Gourmet farm where you grow barley, dandelion or lamb's lettuce and, on top of that, a range of special materials like bamboo sticks, spruce wood or the materials for the Oktoberfest and the stadium. It works the same way as a field on the Main farm, just in the setting of the gourmet farm, and it is one of the main sources of materials for the mill and for completing event contracts. You unlock it from player level 19 and the first level has to be unlocked with gold, further ones go for regular dollars. It suits anyone who wants a varied range of materials on the Gourmet farm, not just a single crop.

When to build it

Building it makes sense from player level 19, because you cannot get to it on the Gourmet farm before that anyway. Bear in mind it is fairly demanding on workers – from 12 at the first level up to 36 at the tenth – so build it once you have enough free hands on the farm. How many you need depends on how much material you want to keep in stock for the mill and events, but thanks to the wide range of crops you usually need fewer of them than with simpler single-crop fields.

Is it worth upgrading

Upgrading pays off enormously with this garden, because the recipes with special seeds grow hugely with level – barley from a special seed climbs from 100 units at the first level to 620 units at the top tenth level for the same 8 hours, and dandelion goes from 300 to 590 units. Even the plain dollar recipe for barley grows from 37 to 135 units in the same time. This is one of the buildings where it pays to push the level as high as you can, because the yield increase is far higher than with a typical field.

Tip from a veteran player Save your special seeds until you have pulled the garden up to a higher level – at the top level you get over six times the harvest from them compared to the first level in exactly the same time.

Most common mistake A common early mistake is using only the cheap dollar recipes for basic crops in the garden and overlooking the materials for the Oktoberfest, the stadium or the special seeds – that way the player misses out on the extra value this particular garden offers over a regular field.
