What it's for

Starts production in donkey stables and is made from barley in the water mill.

Donkey feed starts production in the donkey stable on the Gourmet farm and is made by grinding Barley in the Water mill. It is the input ingredient for keeping donkeys, the counterpart of goat feed, just from a different crop. It also serves as an intermediate step from which the Farm laboratory goes on to produce Premium donkey feed. On the Gourmet farm you therefore need it both directly for the stables and as an ingredient for the follow-up recipes.

How to get it

You get it only by grinding Barley in the Water mill or in the Efficient water mill. At level 1 that is 113 Barley for 10 feed in 2.5 hours, and at level 9 the consumption drops to 97 pieces and the time to 40 minutes. It pays to invest in the mill level, since the time difference between the lowest and the highest level is more than threefold.

What to do with it

You use it on the Donkey stable, Viking donkey stable, Northern lights donkey stable and Efficient donkey stable, where it starts the production of Donkeys and Manure, and on top of that the Farm laboratory uses it up as an ingredient when producing Premium donkey feed.

Tip from a veteran player Before you start grinding feed in bulk, check the level of your Water mill. Low levels cost you almost three times the time for the same result.

Most common mistake The usual mistake is grinding feed in small batches at a low mill level, instead of the player upgrading the mill first and then producing more efficiently.
