The donkey stable is another seasonal animal building on the Gourmet farm, this time focused on donkeys with manure as a by-product. It's bigger than the duck coop (8×7 against 6×4) and, just like it, it's a one-time building with no way back once you demolish it. It's a good fit for players who want to widen the range of animal production on the Gourmet farm and have the space to spare.

When to build it

It unlocks at player level 29 for 150,000 dollars, with a build time of 3 hours 20 minutes. Because of the bigger footprint and the fact that demolishing is final, it pays to build it once you're clear on the layout of your farm - just like with the duck coop, the build it now and tear it down later approach doesn't work here.

Is it worth upgrading

Upgrading raises output noticeably - with ordinary donkey feed the yield rises from 117 to 196 donkeys in the same 3 hours 30 minutes between the first and the top level, almost 70 % more, and manure grows in a similar way. The tenth level is paid for with diamonds, though, so the final step is purely optional depending on how badly you need the donkeys.

Tip from a veteran player Seaweed feed and its L, XL and XXL versions are made instantly in the donkey stable and give more donkeys and manure than the classic donkey feed that takes 3.5 hours - a good choice when you need to restock in a hurry.

Most common mistake An early mistake is building the donkey stable right after it unlocks at level 29 without having barley feed production in the water mill sorted out - without it the building just takes up 8×7 tiles and produces nothing.
