What it's for

Lavender grows in the meadow.

Lavender is the basic flower ingredient from the Flower farm, grown on meadows - the classic Meadow, Friendship meadow and Fertile meadow, as well as the Glorious, Deluxe and Spectacular meadow. Personally I see it as the first link in the whole perfume chain, since it gets processed further in the distillery and in the shop. Part of the harvest can also be turned into special lavender seeds, which you then use to speed up further planting. It's an ingredient you'll need over and over again, so it pays off to have it running on several plots at once.

How to get it

The best value is growing it directly on meadows for Dollars - a batch at level 1 gives 30 pieces in 5 hours, and the yield grows as you upgrade the meadow; on the Meadow it's already 65 pieces at level 9, and the Friendship meadow and Fertile meadow reach up to 77 pieces at level 10. If you have special lavender seeds available, the seed cycle runs only 1 hour 45 minutes, although one batch drops only 14 to 37 pieces, so it's handy to slot in between longer Dollar runs to quickly top up your stock. Buying directly in the shop for 2000 Dollars a piece practically never pays off, because even at the lowest meadow level growing your own comes out far cheaper.

What to do with it

Lavender goes mainly to the shop for the Romantic bouquet and to the distillery for Lavender essence. Part of the harvest I process in the Farm laboratory or Nursery into Special lavender seeds, which I then use to speed up further planting on meadows.

Tip from a veteran player It pays to keep every meadow you have on the farm running, so the Dollar and seed cycles run side by side and you don't sit around waiting for a harvest.
Most common mistake The most common mistake is buying lavender in the shop instead of growing it - 2000 Dollars a piece is needlessly expensive compared to your own production.
