What it's for

Grows in tree groves and can be processed in the viking workshop.

You harvest wood in the tree grove on the Viking farm and the Northern lights farm from level 30 and send it straight on to the Viking workshop. It is the key ingredient for the higher tiers of Viking clothing, without a stock of wood your tankard, helmet and cloak all grind to a halt. It isn't bought in the shop, only harvested.

How to get it

In the tree grove you harvest wood using winter fertilizer, premium winter fertilizer or event seaweed fertilizer. Regular and premium fertilizer give the same amount of wood per hour at every grove level, premium adds 500 XP for free on top, so use it first whenever you have it. Event seaweed fertilizer gives a third more wood instantly plus 1000 XP, so it is clearly the fastest route to a big stockpile.

What to do with it

You send wood straight to the Viking workshop, where it is needed for the Rustic Viking tankard, the Mighty Viking helmet and the Cozy Viking cloak, the pricier the piece of clothing, the more wood it consumes.

Tip from a veteran player Before I start planning a helmet or a cloak, I harvest wood ahead of time in the tree grove, so the workshop isn't left waiting for a top-up of ingredients in the middle of a production several hours long.

Most common mistake It's common to use up all your wood on one recipe in the workshop and then find there is nothing left for the next piece of clothing.
