What it's for

From the sheep pasture. Can be processed in the viking workshop.

You shear sheep's wool in the Sheep pasture on the Viking farm and the Northern lights farm, available from level 30. Just like berries, you can't buy it in the shop, you have to produce it. In the farm economy it is an input material for the Viking workshop, where it is turned into clothing.

How to get it

One batch of wool uses 40 fertilizer and at the first pasture level gives 600 wool in 4 hours, whether you use Winter fertilizer or Premium winter fertilizer - the yield and time are identical, the premium version just adds 1500 XP on top. So it's worth using whenever you have it on hand, and save plain fertilizer for regular operation. Event Seaweed fertilizer gives wool instantly and in an increased amount (780 at the first level), but it is only an occasional event material.

What to do with it

You need wool only in the Viking workshop, where it becomes the Cozy Viking cloak.

Tip from a veteran player I start wool overnight or when leaving the computer - production takes 4 hours, so the pasture would otherwise sit idle for nothing.

Most common mistake The most common mistake is leaving the pasture without fertilizer - production takes hours, so without a stock prepared in advance you can easily end up getting to the next round a day later.
