What it's for
Essence of lavender is produced in the distillery. It can be made into other items in the shop.
Lavender essence is a refined product you have made in the distillery from lavender - you don't sow it or harvest it on a field yourself. Its base price is 630 Dollars a piece, so it comes out cheaper than lavender itself at 2000 Dollars, and its point is therefore mainly in further production. In the Flower farm's production chain it's an intermediate product that links growing lavender with making perfume in the shop.
How to get it
The recipe in the distillery is always the same - 18 pieces of lavender for a batch of 120 pieces of essence, only the production time changes with the distillery level, from 8 hours at level 1 down to 1 hour at level 10. So it mainly pays to upgrade the distillery, because the ingredient consumption stays the same and only the waiting time gets shorter. Buying in the shop for 630 Dollars a piece only makes sense in exceptional cases, when you urgently need essence and don't have any lavender at hand.
What to do with it
The essence goes on to the shop, where it's made into Flower perfume.
