What it's for
You can load rose hips onto the ship as soon as it docks in the harbor and the captain asks for them. You can't sell rose hips.
I grow rose hips in the greenhouse on the Main farm, the Gourmet farm and the Flower farm, they're available from level 30. The base price is 5000 Dollars, but I use them mainly to load the ship in the harbor when it asks for rose hips. On top of that, they can also be turned into jam.
How to get it
Rose hips can't be bought in the shop, I only get them by growing them in the greenhouse. The recipe with special rose hip seeds gives 606 pieces in 46 minutes at level one, the recipe with rose hip seeds only 26 pieces in 30 minutes and the recipe with premium rose hip seeds 2982 pieces in 6 hours. The recipe with special seeds has the best ratio of pieces to time. The production time stays the same at all greenhouse levels, only the amount changes, at level five the special seeds already give 741 pieces, still in 46 minutes, so it pays to keep upgrading the greenhouse.
What to do with it
I load rose hips onto the ship when it asks for them in the harbor. I also use them in the farm laboratory to make special rose hip seeds and in the jam factory, where they become rose hip jam.
