What it's for

You can use these special seeds in the greenhouse to breed Nordic fruits, which you can load onto Captain Barnacle's ship when he docks in the harbor and asks for them.

Special rosehip seeds are the more expensive special counterpart of regular rosehip seeds, available from level 30 on the Main, Gourmet and Flower farms. Instead of the shop, you get them by crafting in the Farm laboratory. Once planted in the Greenhouse they grow into Rosehips for Captain Barnacle's ship, just like the regular seeds. The base price of 2550 Gold puts them among the pricier resources on the farm.

How to get it

You craft them in the Farm laboratory from 17 Common catalysts and 1 Rosehip, crafting one unit takes 2 minutes and 50 seconds. The recipe doesn't change as the laboratory level rises, so it's enough to have the resources and the building at the required level. They can't be bought in the shop, so crafting is the only way to get them.

What to do with it

You plant them in the Greenhouse just like regular rosehip seeds and get Rosehips for Captain Barnacle's ship.

Tip from a veteran player Because of the 17 catalysts per unit, first count how many you actually have, so you don't halt production in the middle of a cycle.

Most common mistake The mistake is to start crafting the special seeds without a sufficient stock of catalysts, or to craft them even at a moment when regular rosehip seeds would do.
