Mangoes are the most versatile tropical fruit on the island, because you use them in three different bar recipes, so the mango orchard should get priority when planning fertilizer.

Mangoes are a tropical fruit from the Island farm. You harvest them from the mango orchard, and the beach bar takes them to make drinks. Unlike peacocks and lemurs, you are not feeding an animal here but fertilizing a tree with island fertilizer. Mangoes are the most used fruit in the island economy, because they go into three different beach bar recipes. Alongside the mangoes, fertilizing the orchard also throws out tropical leaves, which end up on the compost heap.

How to get it

At level 1 the mango orchard processes twenty units of island fertilizer or premium island fertilizer in 2 hours 20 minutes and yields 120 mangoes. Premium fertilizer adds 800 XP on top for the same yield, so it is always worth using the premium version instead. Special seaweed fertilizer gives mangoes instantly and more at once, at level 1 a straight 156 units and 2000 XP. The yield grows as you upgrade the orchard, and at level 4 one batch gives you 300 mangoes with regular fertilizer or 390 mangoes with special fertilizer.

What to do with it

I send mangoes to the beach bar, where they go into the tropical star, the fruit cocktail and the summer breeze, so keep the mango orchard running ahead of the other orchards if you work the beach bar hard.
