Sugar melons are the most expensive of these three exotic crops from the Greenhouse, available from level 30 on the Main farm, Gourmet farm and Flower farm. The base value of 10500 Dollars shows that this is the most valuable exotic fruit on offer, even though it is not sold on the market either. Just like with grapefruits and pineapples, the main outlet is loading them onto the ship when Captain Barnacle is asking for melons in the harbor, and alongside that you make Special sugar melon seeds from them in the Farm laboratory. Production in the greenhouse takes quite a bit longer than with the other exotic fruit, so treat melons as a longer-term investment of time.
How to get it
The best rate comes from the recipe with Special sugar melon seeds, 1856 pieces in 1 hour 15 minutes on the first greenhouse level, which clearly beats the other two recipes per hour. Sugar melon seeds give only 66 pieces in 37 minutes, so they are purely for small top-ups of your stock. Premium sugar melon seeds yield 7469 pieces, but over a full 8 hours, the longest cycle of all three exotic crops, ideal for overnight, not for active play. Just like with the other fruit, you first have to produce the special seeds in the Farm laboratory from your own melons.
What to do with it
You load sugar melons onto Captain Barnacle's ship in the harbor. Alongside that you put them into the Farm laboratory, where they are turned into Special sugar melon seeds for faster growing next time.
