What it's for

You can use these seeds in the greenhouse to breed exotic fruits, which you can then load onto Captain Barnacle's ship when he docks in the harbor and asks for them.

Sugar melon seeds are the most expensive of the four exotic seed types and serve as the input seeds for the Greenhouse, from which you get Sugar melons for Captain Barnacle's ship. In the game they are available from level 30 on the Main farm, Gourmet farm and Flower farm, with a base value of 550 Gold. You cannot buy them in the shop and the game lists no production recipe for them, so they reach your storage by a route other than a classic purchase or production.

How to get it

Because sugar melon seeds have no production recipe and are not bought in the shop, their only purpose is to be planted in the greenhouse. The highest base value of all four seed types matches the fact that sugar melons themselves are the most expensive of the exotic fruit.

What to do with it

The only listed use is planting in the Greenhouse, where sugar melon seeds turn into Sugar melons.

Tip from a veteran player I use sugar melon seeds only for quickly topping up a small amount of melons, because the recipe with them takes just 37 minutes but gives only 66 pieces.
