What it's for

You can load gooseberries onto the ship as soon as it docks in the harbor and the captain asks for them. You can't sell gooseberries.

Gooseberries are a basic resource I grow in the greenhouse on the Main farm, the Gourmet farm and the Flower farm from level 30. I don't sell them at the market hall, most often I load them onto the ship once it docks in the harbor and asks for gooseberries, and I keep part of them for the farm laboratory to make special gooseberry seeds. They're grown from three kinds of seeds, depending on how fast and how many I need at the moment.

How to get it

Gooseberries can't be bought in the shop, they can only be grown in the greenhouse. The recipe with special gooseberry seeds gives 411 pieces in 30 minutes at level one, the recipe with gooseberry seeds only 18 pieces in 20 minutes and the recipe with premium gooseberry seeds 2065 pieces in 4 hours. By the ratio of pieces to time, the recipe with special seeds comes out best. The time doesn't change with a higher greenhouse level, only the yield grows, at level five the same special seeds already give 502 pieces in the same 30 minutes, so leveling up the greenhouse is clearly worth it.

What to do with it

I load harvested gooseberries onto the ship in the harbor when it asks for them. Apart from that I need them in the farm laboratory, where they're turned into special gooseberry seeds for the next harvest.

Tip from a veteran player Upgrade the greenhouse to a higher level, the recipe with special seeds will then give more gooseberries in the same time as before.

Most common mistake There's no point producing more gooseberries than you'll use for ship deliveries and special seeds, they can't be sold, so any surplus just sits in storage.
