What it's for

You can use these special seeds in the greenhouse to breed Nordic fruits, which you can load onto Captain Barnacle's ship when he docks in the harbor and asks for them.

Premium gooseberry seeds are special seeds you plant in the greenhouse and breed into Nordic fruit, specifically gooseberries. You can use them on the Main farm, the Gourmet farm and the Flower farm, since the greenhouse is available on all three. The gooseberries you grow then get loaded onto Captain Barnacle's ship when it's docked in the harbor and he asks for this fruit. So it's an ingredient tied to the ship event, not to regular selling in the market hall. It's available from level 30, and its base price of 1250 gold tells you it's a premium item.

How to get it

The seeds can't be bought in the shop and the game doesn't list any production recipe for them either, so you won't get them through normal production or by paying dollars. Count on this being a rarer item that's only available from level 30, and keep a stock on hand for when Captain Barnacle's ship turns up asking for gooseberries or Nordic fruit.
