Cow silage is a secondary Main farm good that I make in the Windmill out of alfalfa. It's pure feed with no other use outside raising cattle - I send it to any type of cowshed. There, given some time, it turns into manure and milk, so it's a necessary middle step in the farm's economy.

How to get it

The only route to silage is producing it in the Windmill or the Efficient windmill, you can't buy it. The mill's level is crucial - at level 1 a batch eats 130 units of alfalfa in 4 minutes for a mere 10 units of silage, but at level 10 just 36 units of alfalfa are enough and the silage is done instantly. So it pays to upgrade the mill before you pour big alfalfa stocks into it.

What to do with it

I send silage to a cowshed - whether it's a Cowshed, Tropical, Candy, Copious, Capacious, Colossal, Spring or Beach cowshed, everywhere it turns into Manure and Milk.

Tip from a veteran player Before you start feeding cows on a big scale, focus on upgrading the Windmill - the difference in alfalfa consumption between level 1 and level 10 is almost fourfold.

Most common mistake Feeding cows silage from an unupgraded mill and wasting alfalfa that would go much further at a higher level.
