The spring cowshed is one of the few buildings where an upgrade really does almost double the production or more, so upgrading it definitely makes sense, just never let it get demolished.

The spring cowshed is a seasonal version of the cowshed on the main farm, 8x5 in size, which turns animal feed into milk and manure for the silo as a by-product. The game itself warns you that if you demolish it, you won't build it again, so it's clearly a limited building that you get once and should look after. Just like the wintry field, here too you pay gold at every level, from 18 thousand up to 75 thousand, which makes it more of a premium boost to your livestock than an ordinary building. It suits anyone who wants to raise milk production on the main farm beyond what an ordinary cowshed gives.

When to build it

The cowshed is available from player level 4, so if the game grants it to you early, it pays to build it right away, you'll get the first level for 18 thousand gold and one hour and eighteen minutes of building. Since you can't buy it again or rebuild it after demolishing it, don't worry about how many to have, just make sure you have it and that it's running.

Is it worth upgrading

This is exactly the type of building where an upgrade really pays off, cow feed at level one gives 530 milk and 225 manure in 7 hours, at the highest level the same dose gives you 1173 milk and 349 manure in the same 7 hours, so more than double. I see it even more clearly with seaweed feed, which harvests instantly, 690 milk at level one grows to 1525 at max, so here I wouldn't hesitate and I'd keep working on the upgrades whenever I have spare gold and a free building queue.
