The berry orchard is an orchard where winter fertilizer turns into berries, with plant remains as a by-product. You'll find it on the Northern lights farm and the Festive farm, and like the other orchards it needs fertilizer from the silo. Berries are a resource in their own right, separate from the wood you get in the tree grove or the wool from the sheep pasture, so you pick the berry orchard based on what your production actually needs right now. It takes up the same 8x8 as the farm's other orchards.

When to build it

The berry orchard is worth building as soon as you have winter fertilizer available and your production chain is short on berries. It takes considerably longer to build than the tree grove, over 2 hours at level 1, and the fertilizer cost per batch is higher at 20, so expect it to put more strain on your silo than the other orchards. How many you build depends on how many berries you currently need, and there's no sense having more of them than you can keep supplied with fertilizer.

Is it worth upgrading

Upgrading pushes the yield from the same batch of 20 fertilizer from 300 to 600 berries and from 60 to 120 plant remains at max level, with the production time staying at 2 hours. The price climbs from 78,000 to 4,550,000 Snow dollars and the worker requirement rises from 7 to 16, so upgrade step by step as your need for berries grows.

Tip from a veteran player Event seaweed fertilizer gives you berries instantly here plus 2000 experience points, while regular Winter fertilizer gives none and Premium winter fertilizer only 1000, so save it mainly for when you want to rack up experience fast.
