What it's for

Can be used on a sheep pen to start production. This feed starts a shorter raw wool production.

Sheep silage is a feed that differs from the others in that it starts a noticeably shorter raw wool production cycle in the Sheep pen. It is produced in the Windmill (or the Efficient windmill) from Wildflowers, so unlike the oat-based feeds you need a completely different raw material. It cannot be bought in the shop, so you can't do without your own production in the windmill. The base price of 250 Dollars is higher than for regular feed, which reflects the fact that it is a more specialized product.

How to get it

The only way is the Windmill or the Efficient windmill, where you pour in Wildflowers. At windmill level 1 you need 130 units of flowers for 10 units of silage in 4 minutes, but as you level the windmill the consumption drops sharply – at level 10 you need only 36 units of flowers and production is practically instant.

What to do with it

I take the silage to the Sheep pen and its upgraded forms, where it turns into Manure and Raw wool. According to the recipe one batch gives only 12 units of wool in 9 minutes, so I use it mainly when I need to quickly top up a small amount of wool, not as the main source.

Tip from a veteran player Silage works as a quick patch when you run out of wool at the last minute before completing a contract – the shorter production cycle lets you make it even with little time left.

Most common mistake It doesn't pay to build your whole wool production on silage, because one batch in the sheep pen gives you only 12 units, while regular sheep feed gives 130.
