What it's for

Special parsnip seeds are grown in the nursery and have a growth rate and yield amount that is different from the normal seed.

Special parsnip seeds are one of the rarer goods on the Gourmet farm - compared with ordinary seeds, the parsnips grown from them come at a different speed and in a different quantity. You normally grow them in the nursery, but you can cook them up faster in the farm laboratory, and the winter monument 2025 handed them out as a one-off as well. They aren't sold in the shop; you use them to sow your gardens instead of ordinary parsnip seeds.

How to get it

The fastest and cheapest route is the farm laboratory - from level 6 you turn 5 simple catalysts and 1 parsnip into 1 special seed in 50 seconds. The classic production in the nursery is slower (2 hours 30 minutes at level 1) and on top of the parsnip it needs two more nursery goods, so it makes more sense at lower levels, before you unlock the lab recipe. The winter monument 2025 gave 3 units in 2 days with no input goods, but that was a seasonal source tied to the event at the time.

What to do with it

Sow the special seeds in any garden from the garden family - garden, fertile garden, beach garden, glorious garden, deluxe garden or spectacular garden - where instead of a normal seed they grow parsnips at a different pace and yield.

Tip from a veteran player As soon as my farm laboratory hits level 6, I move seed production there - it saves both time and goods compared with the nursery.

Most common mistake Sticking with the nursery even after you've unlocked the lab recipe - you tie up two extra goods for nothing and wait hours instead of fifty seconds.
