What it's for

You can use these special seeds in the greenhouse to breed Nordic fruits, which you can load onto Captain Barnacle's ship when he docks in the harbor and asks for them.

Special blackberry seeds are one of the special Nordic seeds in this set and, like the others, you unlock them from level 30 on the Main, Gourmet and Flower farms. The only way to get them is crafting in the Farm laboratory. Once planted in the Greenhouse they grow into Blackberries meant for Captain Barnacle's ship. The base price of 6250 Gold is the same as for special passion fruit seeds, while the apricot and cloudberry seeds cost 15500 Gold.

How to get it

They are crafted in the Farm laboratory from 42 Common catalysts and 1 Blackberry, one unit takes 7 minutes. The recipe applies equally at all laboratory levels from 10 to 23, so it doesn't change as the building level rises. Since they can't be bought in the shop, crafting is the only way to get them.

What to do with it

Once planted in the Greenhouse they give you Blackberries, which then go to Captain Barnacle's ship just like those from regular seeds.

Tip from a veteran player Because of the 42 catalysts per unit and the seven-minute crafting time, work out in advance how many units you really need, so you don't run out of resources mid-production.

Most common mistake The most common mistake is to start production without the 42 catalysts prepared in advance and leave the recipe waiting for the missing resource.
