What it's for

You can use these special seeds in the greenhouse to breed Nordic fruits, which you can load onto Captain Barnacle's ship when he docks in the harbor and asks for them.

Premium cloudberry seeds are the priciest of the Nordic fruit trio at 15500 Gold, and like rose hips and blackberries they unlock at level 30. They're planted in the Greenhouse on the Main farm, Gourmet farm or Flower farm and grow into cloudberries. In the farm's economy this isn't an item for further processing but the rarest key to one specific order in the Harbor. The high price says it all, as this is the rarest piece of the Nordic trio.

How to get it

Cloudberry seed isn't sold in the Shop and no recipe for it exists in the game, so no production on the farm will get you one. It lands in temporary storage as a reward from events and quests, and from there you move it straight to the Greenhouse. Given its high value, it's a shame to plant it without knowing you actually need cloudberries.

What to do with it

The cloudberries you grow belong to Captain Barnacle - you load them onto his ship when it docks in the Harbor and he asks for cloudberries. They go nowhere else, they aren't sold or processed further, they just wait for the captain's request.

Tip from a veteran player Before you plant the cloudberry seed, check that the captain actually wants cloudberries - at 15500 Gold it's one of the most expensive seeds, exactly the same as apricots, so planting it blind doesn't pay.

Most common mistake The most common mistake is using the rare cloudberry seed the moment you get it instead of saving it for when the captain really does ask for cloudberries.
