What it's for

A basic linen thread that can be used to stitch things together.

Linen thread is made by processing flax in the spinning factory and then goes on both to the shop for stitching materials together and to the clothing factory. It is produced on the Gourmet farm and has a base value of 1000 Dollars per unit. It is the slowest of the thread recipes, so I plan for it in advance. It cannot be bought in the shop, only produced.

How to get it

The recipe is 10 units of flax for 5 units of linen thread in 2 hours in the spinning factory or the efficient spinning factory, and that holds on all eight levels of the building. It is the longest of all the thread recipes, so I only produce linen thread when I know I will use it right away for a specific job, not for stock. Because the recipe does not change with building level, there is no point waiting for a higher spinning factory level because of it.

What to do with it

I need linen thread in the shop to make the teddy bear, together with fine cotton and raw wool, and the clothing factory takes it too.
