What it's for

A natural primary color dye that can be used in a variety of productions.

Blue dye is made by processing red cabbage in the Dye factory or the Efficient dye factory. It is a Secondary material on the Gourmet farm and, unlike red dye, it has a longer production time. It is available from the start of the game with no level restriction. In the production chain it serves as an input material for textile production.

How to get it

The recipe is the same on all eight levels of both variants of the factory, twenty red cabbage give you five dye in forty-five minutes. You cannot buy the dye in the shop, so you have to rely on your own production, and because the recipe does not differ by building level, what really pays off is having a steady supply of red cabbage. The longer production time means blue dye is a good thing to put into production for a period when you will be away from the game anyway, overnight for example.

What to do with it

You use blue dye exclusively in the Clothing factory or the Efficient clothing factory to make Blue jeans. It has no other use, so you can derive the amount you produce directly from the demand for jeans.

Tip from a veteran player Given the forty-five-minute production time, it is worth starting batches of blue dye before a longer break, so the time is not wasted waiting for you.

Most common mistake It is a mistake to produce blue dye in the same volume as the faster dyes, even though only one product uses it, which needlessly leaves you with a growing unused stock.
