The Efficient sheep pen does exactly the same as the regular sheep pen. It makes raw wool and manure from the same feed, but differs in what you pay for it with. Instead of dollars you build and upgrade this version exclusively with gold, which comes in handy if you have a surplus of gold and want to save dollars for other buildings. It stands on the main farm on the same 7x5 plot as the classic sheep pen, unlocks from the same player level 17 and on top of that offers one extra upgrade level. It suits players who have gold from quests or purchases and want to speed up their wool production without straining their dollar budget.

When to build it

Build it when you're running out of dollars for several builds at once but have gold available. There's no point building it instead of the regular sheep pen just for the sake of it, because the wool and manure output is exactly the same. It pays off mainly as a second or third wool building on top, when you already have the dollar version and want to expand capacity without putting more strain on your dollars.

Is it worth upgrading

Upgrades cost pure gold at every level, so unlike the classic sheep pen you never get to a diamond payment. The production table is identical to the regular sheep pen, but the XP for upgrading is exactly double the dollar version at every level, so this building is also interesting as a quick source of experience if you need to reach a higher player level.

Tip from a veteran player If you collect gold from daily quests and don't know where to put it, upgrading the efficient sheep pen is one of the unobtrusive ways to get extra XP out of it without dipping into your dollar reserves.

Most common mistake Players often think the efficient version must give more wool or manure than the classic sheep pen and are disappointed when they find the production figures are exactly the same. The only difference is in the payment method and the experience.
